Are you involved with a local Voluntary or Community Sector (VCS) group? (Any VCS group which is based in or works in Torbay).  HAVE YOU HEARD OF TORCOM? Torcom is Torbuy’s sister site at www.torcom.org.uk and is the Voluntary and Community web portal for Torbay.  On Torcom you will find a wealth of information and news about the local (and national) Voluntary sector. 

Torcom also affords local VCS groups the opportunity to have a TOTALLY FREE web presence in the form of organisation web page/s where you can tell visitors to the site about the work that you do and how to get in touch with you. Your pages will have their own unique URL - simply put that means they would contain your own organisation name within the web address - for example our address on Torcom is www.torcom.org.uk/groups/cva-torbay& ; ;nbs p;   
 

A personalised User-guide is available to groups who have pages containing a username, password and step by step instructions as to how to access and edit those pages.  You’ll soon be creating new pages and uploading documents at the touch of a mouse, allowing you to give the visiting public access to your organisational literature such as your information leaflets and brochures.  You can also advertise your events, both within your events calendar on your own pages and they will automatically be listed in the main site events calendar accessible from the homepage see www.torcom.org.uk/calendar

For those of you who feel you would like a little more support to get established, TOTALLY FREE face to face training is also available.
